No surprises here. How about Michelle's staff, is that available? Is there someplace that we could compare previous admin"s against the Obama admin? Regardless whether R or D.

By my figures..this averages to about 84K per person in the white work force...doing what ? This is as bad a our congressional reps hiring people for their personal staffs...while talking about cutting spending..but of course..the cuts only effect the voters..not the elites that washington seems to enjoy wasting our tax money on..and I refer to both parties.

I think it is awesome that we live in a country that publishes the salaries of our leaders.

It is amazing how things went down hill in our economy. I work 10 to 12 hour days at $8.00 an hour and support a family of four. My husband has a four year degree from Purdue and can't find a job. I am blessed that my husband gets enough unemployment to pay the house payment. What makes me sad is the fact that I watched a video of Michelle Obama talking about gardening and sitting down to eat dinner together as a family!!! I don't remember the last time I sat down and had a family dinner with my family! At least I have a roof over my head for now!!!

I liken this to the old joke. How many people does it take to screw in a light bulb? Answer; 5 one to stand on the ladder and hold the light bulb and four to turn the ladder. This is an insane abuse of tax payers monies.

Not Enough

First of all, Pres Obama cut his staff and capped salaries. Second of all, he doesn't set the salary range, he is just the first President to make the information easily available. And thirdly, these staffers are making significantly less than their "civilian" counterparts and work an average of 10 to 15 hour days. I worked for the Bush Administration and there were many more people on staff. They are not getting paid enough to help run the best nation in the world. Also, they do not go out for training...training comes to them. It amazes me how some of you are so ill-informed yet still insist on sharing your thoughts.

Salaries List is Not Even Complet

Upon investigating, I find this already obscenely bloated list of staff is only of the OFFICE staff. Not included are all of the other help: kitchen, house keeping, grounds and gardening, maintenance, transportation, visitors etc. etc. etc. How could things have come to this?

After comparing 2009 to 2010 it made me sick to see most got pay raises when so many people out in the REAL WORLD are taking pay cuts if lucky and others are getting layed off!!! On top of that this doesn't even include those who work in the kitchen or clean the toilets! Sure would like to see their benny packages too!

Staff Salaries Plus the Extras

That's a huge number of government employees!!! How many are busy for a full 8 hours a day?? With all the cut backs every where, well over 350 people seems like a little over kill. Salaries are just part of it, what is spent on all the added benefits? Annual leave, sick leave, health insurance, pensions, to name a few. How many of your staff get awards through out the year???? That's another huge cost. If just 1/2 of your staff goes somewhere for training, what are those figures. Airfare, lodging, food. I'd like to see the honest final numbers. Or are those figures hidden away somewhere??

Mr. President, you berate the private companies that allow their hard working exects to make over 100K and you pay the person that reports to reporters $172,000. I am sure you will stand in front of your teleprompter and give us a song and dance how you can justify this. You refuse to take questions from legitament reporters. Can't wait until Nov 2012.
